How is Amazon Egypt's referral fee calculated?
Amazon takes a percentage of the total price the customer pays, including shipping. The rate depends on the product's category, with a minimum of E£5 in most categories. Some categories have tiers, such as Electronics Accessories: 15% up to E£1,000 and 8% above it. Amazon then adds 14% VAT on the referral fee.
Do Amazon's fees include VAT?
No. Amazon Egypt publishes its fees without VAT, then adds 14% to all of them. That's why the calculator shows the VAT on the fees on its own line.
What's the difference between Fulfilled by Amazon, Easy Ship and self-ship?
With Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA), Amazon stores and ships your product, for a fee per unit by size, weight and price. With Easy Ship, you keep the product and Amazon delivers it, for a handling fee by weight. With self-ship, Amazon takes no shipping fee, and you pay the courier yourself.
How do I work out my profit margin?
Your profit margin is your profit per unit divided by the unit's revenue, times 100. Enter your product cost in the calculator and it shows your profit and margin after Amazon's fees and your costs.
Is this my net profit?
No. The calculator estimates one unit's profit before returns, ads, storage fees and overheads. Your whole month, with every fee and every return, shows in your Date Range report.
Does the calculator save my data?
No. Everything is worked out in your browser, and no number is sent to our servers.
Where do the rates come from?
